Dog Tips – Come When Called

On May 24, 2013, in adaptors, by admin

One thing that every dog must do is come when called. This is for the dogs own good as well as the welfare of other pets and people. Dogs need to be taught this for their own good because they can run into danger, like a car or an untrained animal. Once a dog is trained to come when called, you can take him out in public places.

It is not hard to teach your dog how to come when called. Basically, you would give your dog special treats when it listens to you. Training should be enjoyable for both you and your pet.

Before you start this type of training, make sure the animal is going to react positively to the type of food you will give him. Show the food to the dog and let him smell it. If he likes it, you can start.

Use small size food when dog training. You do not want to feed the animal too much where he does not get motivated to want to more food. Chicken and cheese are good to use.

Many professional dog trainers want the dog owner to work with them when they train the dog. This is because the dog must not only listen to one person. They need to understand that anyone who is in charge of them, will need them to listen. If your family member wants to watch the dog, he will have a problem if your dog only listens to you. Have a friend or family member call the dog and then you do the same. Have your pet go back and forth, going from your friend to you. This is a great exercise. Stand about 30 feet away from each other in a safe place. You can call the dog and tell it to sit. Your friend can call the dog after you and he can then give the dog the treat. Every time the dog comes, give the dog a treat.

Google Announces Bluetooth® Smart Ready Support for Android Coming Later this Year

On May 24, 2013, in audio Cables, by admin

KIRKLAND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today at Google I/O, Google’s annual developer conference, Google announced that in the coming months Android will include native support for Bluetooth Smart Ready and Bluetooth Smart devices. Phones and tablets with a dual-mode Bluetooth chip running the coming version of Android will qualify as Bluetooth Smart Ready. Bluetooth Smart Ready is the premium designation for devices that are compatible with virtually any Bluetooth enabled product, from keyboards or audio headphones, to the next generation of ultra power-efficient Bluetooth Smart appcessories, like the FitBit Flex or the Pebble watch, coming to market now.

“The real winner here is the consumer”

“Working with the big OS providers to offer native support for Bluetooth Smart Ready has been a major initiative within the Bluetooth SIG – we’re thrilled to welcome Android to the family,” said Suke Jawanda, CMO of the Bluetooth SIG. “It’s the hardware and software support that enables Bluetooth Smart Ready devices to seamlessly connect with the billions of Bluetooth devices in use today, and the exploding new market of Bluetooth Smart appcessories. With today’s announcement, Google joins Apple, Microsoft and BlackBerry in providing native software support which is great news for phone and tablet manufacturers, application developers and ultimately, consumers who count on Bluetooth to connect more of their technology.”

The native Android support for Bluetooth Smart Ready technology available in the coming months means Bluetooth Smart developers will have an easy way to connect their devices to and distribute their applications within the massive Android ecosystem. Developers will be able to use the new Android API to feed data collected from Bluetooth Smart appcessories, like fitness monitors or medical devices, to their apps running on Bluetooth Smart Ready products, like smart phones or tablets. Once released, any new Bluetooth enabled phone or tablet running Android and featuring a dual mode Bluetooth radio chip will be Smart Ready.

ABI projects the market for Bluetooth appcessories (defined as an accessory device with a companion application) to grow from 220 million units in 2013 to nearly one billion in 2016. To support this growth, the Bluetooth SIG has launched a Bluetooth developer enablement initiative which includes a web portal featuring a community forum, training and other resources to make designing with Bluetooth easier and faster. The Bluetooth Quick Start Kit (available now) serves as an introduction to Bluetooth Smart technology. For the Android developer community, the Bluetooth Application Accelerator (coming soon) will provide detailed implementation and developer guidelines to speed time-to-market for appcessory devices.

“The real winner here is the consumer,” adds Jawanda. “Bluetooth is truly the people’s technology – it is recognized, trusted, and can already be found in the end user’s pocket. Additionally, it is the only wireless technology to offer the ultra low power consumption and ubiquity needed to bring connectivity to the millions of appcessories coming to market. The Bluetooth Smart products we are going to see in the coming months are going to make life better, give more insight, and enable us all to make more informed decisions.”

Get to Know the Advantages of a Responsive Website. Learn How to Design a Responsive Website

On May 24, 2013, in adaptors, by admin

Right from 2012, Mobile browsing has been rapidly growing as the new trend. It is going to be the same for at least a decade to come and it is an area you should be capitalizing on. When it comes to mobile sites, the issue now is picking the appropriate method for deploying websites on mobile devices. Though there are different methods for deploying mobile websites, the responsive design strategy seems very promising. Responsive design makes the site instantly mobile across multiple platforms. But one thing to keep in mind is the physical limitations as content must be developed with responsive design in mind. Designing a separate mobile website is also an option. Traditionally a site for each kind of device was built separately along with the main site.

However, with the plethora of devices on the market, it is literally impossible to build a site tailored for each device and yes, it is a very costly commitment. To address this, as developers you should be looking to build a site that adapts itself to the media size and resolution of the device in which it is rendering. When you build a responsive website, it is sure to attract audience on many platforms. LetâEUR(TM)s see what you should be doing to build a responsive website.

Most of you will be familiar with CSS. Most of the websites you build will be linked with a stylesheet. The power of stylesheets is that it can be used to build highly responsive websites. Yes techies, using stylesheets you can build websites that are media aware and do it with ease. Here is how you should be doing this.

Since the days of CSS 2.1, the style sheets have had some measure of device awareness through media types. If you have written a print stylesheet then you should be familiar with this basic media aware concept of CSS.

This is the very basic content awareness that you can incorporate into your CSS. Using this you can link two different stylesheets with the same content and based on whether the selection is screen or print the stylesheet is linked with the content. Starting to understand the potential of CSS? There is more that it has to offer.

Apart from designing neatly designed page printouts, the CSS specifications also supplied us with a bevy of acceptable media types. But most browsers and devices never really embraced the spirit of the specifications, dropping many of the media types loosely implemented. Thankfully, the W3C created media queries as part of the CSS3 specification, improving upon the media types. A media query will allow you to target not only certain device classes, but to actually inspect the physical characteristics of the device rendering our work. Have a look at the following snippet.

In the above snippet, the media property has two components.

1. A media type âEUR” screen and

2. The query enclosed within the parenthesis that contains a particular media feature (max-device-width) to inspect the target value.

In working, the script inspects the maximum device width and if it is less than 480px, say you are viewing it on an iPhone the m6-i-style.css is linked and on a normal device the stylesheet is ignored all together.

This is not the boundary. You can even create compound queries for linking CSS by using and for joining the parameters. Look at the example below.

Furthermore, you are not limited with implementing the media queries in the links. You can use them as a part of the @media rule or as a part of an @import directive.

The results are more or less the same for both the query types. Whenever the query of the device type is matched, the style or the CSS is linked. Based on the usage you can choose the best method. I would suggest you use the first method for linking CSS as a whole. Using the @media and @import rule will be very useful in customizing the image sizes for specific devices. And that the basics with which you can build really extra-ordinary responsive websites.

Flexible images and media queries using CSS is the way forward in constructing responsive websites that are suitable for cross platform rendering. As designers you should be looking to create attractive, elegant, light weight and responsive pages to attract audiences from all platforms, especially mobile surfers. Take it further, try out image queries and flexible images in your Windows Web Hosting account today!

Use A Slovakian IP Address Ios, Mac, Android, And Windows

On May 24, 2013, in adaptors, by admin

Use A Slovakian IP Address Ios, Mac, Android, And Windows

You can change the IP address of pretty much any device you use to connect to the internet. For most people, this is going to mean a smartphone or a laptop computer, but tablets and desktops can do this as well. The thing that makes iOS, Mac, Android, and Windows devices great is that they come with VPN clients, which means that you can set up a new IP in only a few minutes, with zero technical experience. For people who want a Slovakian IP address on their phone or computer, using a type of IP changing software called a virtual private network can give you a Slovakian identity on the internet and get you access to websites only available in Slovakia.

People actually from Slovakia are probably going to know best what sites are blocked outside the country – but this is not a problem unique to Slovakia. Many businesses such as TV and movie streaming sites are bound by contract agreements saying who can and can’t view the online content. Having a Slovakian IP, regardless of your true location in the world means that no one can restrict the content you view, even if sites are set up to block non-local IP addresses.

Some sites, especially those with web servers located in Slovakia will also run slower outside the country. Distance matters ,and the further away you are from the web server you want to access, the longer it takes to respond. Unless you’re on a totally new machine, you’re bound to experience some lag. Using a Slovakian VPN server as a connection point to Slovakian internet space can provide you with quicker connections to local sites.

This type of identity change online can also keep your information private while you surf and download from the internet. You might not need access to Slovakian sites. It’s perfectly possible that you just want a private IP address that your local government doesn’t have restriction over. By choosing a foreign VPN service with servers in a country of your choice, you prevent the many avenues that public and private organizations are able to use to trace your online activity.

If you want a Slovakian IP address on your phone or computer, I would suggest using PPTP VPN. This type of VPN can be used on iOS, Mac, Android, Linux, and Windows systems. It’s easy to install, and runs fast. If you want to add better encryption to your phone, then you can use L2TP, and if you want great encryption for Mac, Linux, or Windows, then you can use OpenVPN. It uses SSL encryption to encrypt your data and then tunnels it through the “OpenVPN” tunnel.

Samsung looks to cut the bloat, free up more Galaxy S4 storage

On May 23, 2013, in adaptors, by admin

One of the more prominent criticisms of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is that its preloaded apps clog up a lot of the device’s internal storage, to the point where only about half of the 16GB model’s storage space is actually available for use. A Samsung spokesperson now tells The Inquirer that the company is “reviewing the possibility to secure more memory space through further software optimisation” and “is committed to listening to our customers and responding to their needs as part of our innovation process.” All the same, it’s hard to imagine Samsung freeing up significant amounts of space on the Galaxy S4 since the company sees its own unique apps and services as a key part of differentiating the device from other high-end smartphones.

How To Go About Testing Your Android App

On May 23, 2013, in audio Cables, by admin

Be it the enterprise market or the consumer market, the one aspect of Android that makes it a hard beast to handle is the fragmentation – device, platform and OS. If developing an Android app is a big enough deal, the fragmentation makes the testing of it an even bigger deal.

What is the first thing to do before you consider submitting your app to the Google play store – TEST… Test… test. A company that has had a Million downloads for their app has tested it in about 400 different devices. Well, the idea of testing your app in 400 different devices definitely creates a high barrier for entry into the Android app market – both in terms of cost and testing time. But the entire testing can be addressed in an intelligent way which makes it viable for an app developer.

Going by the 80-20 Rule for Devices

It is almost impossible for small companies and solo app developers to carry out elaborate testing of their apps across various devices. It is extremely time consuming to test manually and even worse, it simply is not cost effective.

One of the best ways to address this problem is to go by the 80-20 principle. As a general rule, 80% of the market is controlled by 20% of Android devices. What this means for you is that by testing on that 20% alone you have covered most of your market and that is a great start. Once you have seen traction for your app, you can invest more resources into catering to the long tail Android market.

So, what is the best way to go about finding the percentage distribution?

- Android website stats to find the popular OS versions

- Android website stats to find the most popular DPI-Screen size combination

- Devices that cover both the above

One of the points to keep in mind is that it is important to not spend valuable initial resources on testing your app on outdated phones and OS in an attempt to be thorough. If you have enough resources to start with, then it might be a good idea to test your app on the most popular devices across the price range – high, mid and low end.

Using the Android Emulator

The Android SDK ships with a device emulator that runs on your computer. This is an alternative for prototyping and testing your app instead of using an actual device. There are a lot of disadvantages in this option – you cannot make actual phone calls, the difference in terms of results when used on the actual device can be ridiculously bad. The general advice is to test the app at-least once on an actual device or use the other options described here.

Using a Third Party Testing Service

The success of the Android app marketplace has led to a plethora of services that contribute to the app ecosystem. Some of the most useful are the ones that provide offshore testing for Android apps. They offer a variety of testing services – functional, integration, load and usability testing.

Some of the bigger companies find it efficient to have the testing team in-house – especially those in gaming who push constant updates to their apps. But offshore testing can be a decent option for companies just starting out in the Android app market.

Some of the services available in the market are Testology, utest, Test-droid, App Thwack and Ranorex.

Design Tests While App Development Is On

One of the best ways to bring down the total development time is by carrying out test designing simultaneously with app design and development. This method saves time drastically especially if you are pushing a feature to a live app. Once the specifications for a feature are decided on, the specs for the test can be written when the development of the feature happens. These tests can be run right after the feature development is over and the feedback can be funneled into the system back again for refinements.

Android development and testing are not straightforward just because of the multitude of platforms and devices. The above options should help you def-rag your app development and testing process.

Property Settlement and Conveyancing Services

On May 22, 2013, in adaptors, by admin

If you are purchasing or selling any form of residential, commercial, retail or industrial property then you will need to hire a professional property settlement agent to assist you with the exchange process. This article takes a look at property settlement agents and the different services that they offer, and it also provides some information on how you can find the best property settlement agent for your needs.

You can use a property settlement agent if you are purchasing a property privately without a real estate agent, as the property settlement team will ensure that the correct certificates and legal documents are in place. They will also be able to arrange for the purchase or sale of inheritance properties, or properties that need to be sold because of a divorce or separation. Finally, they can also assist you if you are purchasing or selling through a real estate agent.

Property settlement agents will be there to ensure that every part of the buying or selling procedure runs smoothly. They are able to find and organize the correct documentation, including stamp documents, and searching and registering documents at Landgate as well as applying for a Certificate of Title. They can arrange transfers of land, applications for personal representatives (executors of probate) and applications by survivors. They can also prepare powers of attorney. These are just some of the services offered.

You can arrange a meeting with a property settlement agent, where they will be able to discuss in more detail the different services that they offer. They will also be able to advise you on what services you will require based on your individual circumstances.

How to Find a Property Settlement Agency

The best place to search for an agency in your area is to look for their website online. You can do this by opening up your favourite search engine and typing in ‘property settlement agents’ along with the town or city that you live in. You will then be taken to a page of search results which you can browse through until you find the right company that provides what you need. All major agencies will have a website which will list more information on the services that they offer as well as their contact details.

How to Choose the Right Property Settlement Agents

To ensure that you choose the best company for your needs, you will want to choose a trusted and reputable company. You can do this by asking the company plenty of questions before agreeing to work with them. The questions can include things like:

- How long have they been in operation for?

- How many members of staff do they employ?

- What are their fees and charges?

- What payment methods are accepted?

- What forms of communication are offered?

You may also want to check for customer reviews and testimonials on the company. You can do this by searching online for independent client reviews, or by asking the company if they have any testimonials.
